About

Who is this girl?

Lizz Westman is a writer and Web producer with more than 10 years experience managing content and for a bevy of media, entertainment and comedy sites.  She excels under stress and can see a project from conception to completion.

Lizz began her career in New York City, where she reviewed television and film as both a critic and as a freelance writer for Gist TV, AOL’s Moviefone, the Comedy Lab and a myriad of other, now-defunct dotcoms.

More recently, and on the other coast, Lizz worked as the lead producer for ABC’s flagship homepage, creating content seen by more than a million people daily. While at ABC, Lizz also helped produce Oscar buzz, wrote supplementary features for the network’s shows and aided in site production – working in conjunction with designers, programmers, marketing teams, digital media producers, freelancers and network programming executives.

As an online journalist for CBS 2 in Los Angeles, she covered major stories ranging from raging wildfires to Paris Hilton’s infamous incarceration and other celebrity meltdowns.  She’s also reported on The Emmys, The Grammys, skateboarding bulldogs, wedding fashions, the latest in gaming technology, technology conventions and the 2008 presidential campaign.  Utilizing social networking sites and news aggregators, Lizz excelled at getting local stories picked up nationally.  Her headlines and work have been seen on Fark, Drudge, Best Week Ever and even humorist Dave Barry’s column – just to name a few.  While at CBS, Lizz also worked as the lead overnight national producer, breaking the latest in national news stories for all of CBS’ owned and operated sites.

Lizz is a whiz at CMS systems, standard site programming, writing punchy copy and creating funny on command. She is currently working to make the world a more entertaining place, one story at a time.

You should hire her because she’s super awesome and will make your day brighter and your step lighter.  Also because she needs the cash.
